Training Officer

Responsible to: Sunstar BSAC Diving Officer and Sunstar club committee

MAIN DUTIES:

1. To take responsibility for the training programme for the diving grades OCEAN DIVER and SPORT DIVER
2. To plan training in conjunction with, and to the satisfaction of, the Sunstar Diving Officer
3. Set dates for theory lessons, theory exam and sheltered water (pool) sessions
4. To set dates for open water training trips to suitable venues.
5. Co-ordinate the availability of students and instructors.
6. Work with the Sunstar Equipment Officer and the students to ensure that suitable equipment is available as required.
7. To provide feedback to the Diving Officer and the Sunstar Committee on the progress of training.
