At the beginning of May there was a weekend trip to Stoney Cove for this year's trainees to give them their first taste of open water. (None actually drowned!). Paul B organised some excellent overnight accommodation for us and Raj suggested a Chinese Pub(!) for Saturday's evening meal. (Old Speckled Hen on draught!). Young Ja took her camera along to record some of the activity. |

The end of November saw a trip to Oman to dive the Musandam peninsular from the Red Dhow. (Al Marsa Dhow Charters). We did this in conjunction with a local(ish) BSAC club, Muscat Divers, and had a great week. The viz was generally 15m-20m and the sea calm. Water temperature was ~26 degC. Some evidence of the trip can be found here. |

On the 9th of September a select few enjoyed a day's sailing on the Norfolk Broads on a trip was organised by the Sailing Club. The weather was far better than seven days earlier when some of us were bobbing around in the North Sea in an open boat in the cold rain. A reasonable amount of wind combined with bluish skies and sunshine. It was also "Heritage Weekend" and so we got free admission to the windmill on Horsey Mere. No one got wet and no one ran aground. |

At the end of August we went off to Baltimore in Southern Ireland to dive with Aquaventures. Although it was a bit windy we managed to dive the Kowloon Bridge and finished off with a dip in Lough Hyne. David has some pictures up on his website from the trip. |

Mid July saw a weekend trip to Norfolk to dive the Rosalie off Weybourne beach and also drifts across the nearby gullies. A hardy core camped over night whilst some club members were only able to make the Saturday or the Sunday. As it was a neap weekend there were long periods of slack water which enabled two waves of divers to have a nice long dive on the Rosalie who lived up to her reputation as very pretty dive. Cameras were out and you can find pictures from Rob and David. |
