What: A large Manta Ray swam by, and John was fortunate enough to get his video camera rolling while it was still coming toward us.
Where: Observed while diving off Ningaloo Reef, from Coral Bay, Western Australia, while diving from a boat called Manta Magic on a dive site called the 23rd parallel.
When:15th April 2004

What: Harbour seal using a small wooden wreck as a scratching post.
Where: Near a small wooden wreck on the south side of Miller Island, a small island in the Jervis inlet, behind Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada.
When:5th October 2000

What: The dive experience of the Tabarka wreck dive in good visibility, divers and marine life seen.
Where: On the wreck of the Tabarka, a block ship blocking an entrance to Scapa Flow at the northern end of Hoy, in the Orkney Islands, of the North coast of the Scottish mainland.
When:12th September 2002.

What: A medium sized whaleshark with a little shoal of small fish swimming in front of it.
Where: From a specialist whaleshark observing boat operating out of Coral Bay, Western Australia.
When:Easter Sunday, the 11th April 2004.

Where: Whale Rock, Grand Baie, a dive site in northern Mauritius.
